Frequently Asked Questions

What is Boudoir Photography?

The term "Boudoir" is a french word for a woman's dressing room. Boudoir photography is photographs of women typically in lingerie, however it can be anything the woman feels comfortable in. Boudoir portraiture has been gaining immense popularity in recent years. Women spend endless amounts of time and money pampering themselves with beauty products and services, clothing, accessories, fitness and even plastic surgery to make them feel beautiful. By investing in portraiture, you can capture and document your beauty to treasure for a lifetime.

Do you do touch ups?

I touch up or "retouch" every image I deliver to you.

I have a little problem area that I don't like about by body - is there anything you can do?

Regardless of age or body type, I specialize in offering all women an incredible opportunity to commission their own personal collection of stunning, modern boudoir portraits. Every woman is very different and has something incredible to capture. Every detail is covered from wrinkles to acne, scars, cellulite and stretch marks. You don't have to worry about these little imperfections. I have everything covered. However, I won't make you skinnier, bigger breasts, bigger butt, or any other physical alteration to your body. You are beautiful just the way you are, own it.

Do you provide hair and makeup services?

Yes! Hair and makeup is included with all boudoir sessions and is part of the boudoir experience.

Are boudoir pictures still flattering for someone without a model type figure?

Yes! I have photographed women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Boudoir pictures are flattering for everyone.

I'm a little uncomfortable about nudity.

Nudity is certainly not necessary and I WILL NOT push you to go further than you feel comfortable with. Sexy isn't always about how much you show, it's all about how you show it! Most men feel that leaving something to the imagination is much sexier than baring it all.

Will my session be with a female photographer?

No. I am a loan male photographer. However, I do require you bring a friend to your session for comfort and safety, (yours and mine). Unless, a friend being there makes you more uncomfortable! Your comfort is of utmost importance to me. I am very professional during these sessions and you will not be asked to do anything you do not feel comfortable with. I know many women prefer a female photographer, however, something to think about...a male knows what is sexier to a male, than a female does. Also, NO significant others are allowed during your session, yours and mine. This is very important for comfort reasons, yours and mine. Again, it’s all about what makes you comfortable!

Where does the Boudoir session take place?

All sessions are done at Hilton hotels. The price is included in the session.

Do you need a deposit to reserve my photo shoot?

Yes, I require a “retainer fee” and a signed agreement to reserve your photo shoot. Easy online booking is available.

Do you provide the outfits or is that something I would provide?

I highly recommend that you bring your own outfits for your photo shoot because it will fit correctly and it will fit your personal style. I do not provide any outfits for your shoot for sanitary reasons.

How many prints are included with a boudoir session?

A session is for the photographers time and talent. I do provide you with 20 custom edited images via digital download. Prints are available to purchase a la carte after the shoot. I also offer custom photo albums which make a great gift.

How far in advance should I plan if I want to give the photos as a gift?

I recommend doing your photo shoot 2-3 weeks before you plan on giving it as a gift if you are only going to deliver them as flash drive. If you wish to purchase prints or albums to deliver as a gift, please book 4-6 weeks out to allow for editing, ordering, and delivery.

Sounds great - but I'm feeling nervous about my shoot!

Feeling nervous or self conscious about having a boudoir session? There's no need to worry, it's natural to feel this way. I will guide you through each pose and know exactly which angles to capture for all body types to make you look like the beautiful woman you are. I'll even show you how to get those sexy poses which makes for a very comical experience. My sessions are designed to allow plenty of time to relax and feel comfortable which really shows in the final images. So leave everything up to me, just relax and enjoy yourself!

How many images will I have to choose from?

Many images are captured during your session. Afterward, each image is put through a careful selection process. You will see only the images that meet my standards. Images that do not meet these standards are deleted permanently during the selection process. That being said, you’ll choose from approximately 50 images to decide on your 20 you will receive.
